Annoying talk!
When I decided to buy this thermometer I thought that the fact that it can talk is awesome. When I got it, I found the talking really annoying, most especially since you can't turn it off! Also, it broke the first time it fell. I have a Braun ear thermometer and my 2 year old son threw it across the room but it still works fine. In addition to this, it is not reliable, I took my husband's temp three times and the readings were considerably far apart (100.8, 101.2, 100.3)I am very unhappy about this product and would not recommend it.

Good, but not great
I think this is best to accurately determine the temperature of the babys room, but when i hit the light feature the voice command sometimes reads the temp out loud, not very useful when you have a sleeping baby. It is ok for taking the babys temp. Not very accurate but if you just want a quick read to see that she doesnt have a fever it works fine. If you get a borderline read, I would take it again with a regular thermometer to be sure.

Inconsistent!
This thermometer is useless. During a fever my daughter's temperature registered at 97.9 degrees on one side of the temple, 99.0 on the other temple and in the ear 100 degrees, followed by a series of other numbers ranging back down to 98.9 to 101.0. I hate this thermometer.

Worthless
I bought this one since my regular thermonetor died on me. This thing is worthless. Everyone in my house got sick witht he ctomach flu and I needed to take temps. i pull my cool looking new thermonetor out and got some funky temps. I almost freaked out when I got a temp of 104 (by ear) for my four year old. Then I took it again and it said 97, the third time it said 101. i was so confused! Then i did it with her forehead and got 97 all three times! So I gave her some motrin and tried my 16 month old. She hated it! I had to pin her down just to get a reading and it said 95 all three times. Later that evening it said 100. Just now I tried reading my husband's temp and got 95 all three time by ear and forehead! WOW! I wish I kept the reciept!

Do not Buy
I tried to take the temperature of my son and this thing has gave me readings from 96.9 to 101.2 No reading is the same, and each stop is dramatically different. This thing is going strait into the trash.
