Great remote!
I prefer to shoot from a tripod over hand-held when needed, so this remote is a lifesaver. Setup on my Olympus E-620 was a bit tricky at first, but it works like a charm.

I have recently purchased the regular wired remote and it was terrible. I bought the wireless remote and it has worked like a champ. I own a Olympus e410 and this remote was perfect. At first, I thought I had to be in front of the camera to use it but you don't. It works just as well behind the camera as in front. You can take either your snapshot (s button) or long exposures on the "bulb" setting (on camera) using the "w" and "t" buttons. Very nice remote and great for the price.

took a bit of time to see that the only button that works on this remote for my Olympus E-510 is the shutter button...other buttons don't work. This is not at all clear in any of the advertising copy..

Poor battery compartment design makes for failed product
The product didn't work upon arrival and the vendor I purchased it from through Amazon completely blew me off (another story all together). After some diagnostics on my part I discovered that the design of the battery compartment was so poor that consistent contact with the button cell battery wasn't achievable making the device inoperable. After some modifications of my own I've managed to get it to work but not reliably. I would have been better off spending a little more money for a better product. I learned my lesson and now stay away from Opteka products.

Great Alternative to the RM-1!
What a great remote for a fraction of the cost of the Olympus RM-1. I took the chance and it was well worth it. There's no set up needed for the Olympus E410, just set up the shot, get in and smile! Great product!
